... Hey- you prob are here via the info and link you found in my artwork
featurette in the Worcester Pulse Magazine (30,000 free copies are
distributed around the greater Worcester/Boston area, so you pretty
much can't miss it. (www.thepulsemag.com)
In anycase, here's a (just about finished- yet not colorized) art
cover for my upcoming D.I.Y book Humble Homes, Simple Shacks, Cozy
Cottages, Ramshackle Retreats, and Funky Forts (And Whatever Else We
Could Squeeze In Here!) through Tiny Yellow House Press. The book
features close to 100 full-page pen sketches of bizarre shelters of
the most minute scale, in addition to a huge compendium of "redneck
fixes" and thrift ideas (homemade windows, solar showers, basic-bridge
building, rain-barrels, and recycling-ideas galore).
One of the book's chapter's also focuses, and documents, an
ultra-tiny, portable cabin that I designed and built- which is
entirely constructed from roadside garbage and toss-away materials.
And beyond that, I have a multitude of lazy imbeciles to thank, seeing
as a large chunk of the first run of this book and its printing costs
were covered from the redemption of littered, aluminum soda and beer
cans (part of a periodic trail/conservation land clean-up I've
overseen for some time).
So, as I've driven my hands to a near-crippling level of
carpal-tunnel syndrome while piecing this book together (approx. 3
years of work/drawings/layout/brainstorming) please be so kind as to
order a copy. One can be pre-ordered for $18.00 (including all
shipping, etc) by emailing me at kidcedar@gmail.com) until the books
REAL-DEAL site (coming soon) gets underway.
Thanks for your time!

You can also check out a feature that was written on a cabin that my
brother Dustin, and I, have worked on over the last ten years in the
boondocks of Vermont, in an online magazine and blog titled Tiny
House Design (www.tinyhousedesign.com). Yup, this cabin is
also featured in the book.
